The Western Disturbance is persisting over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining North Pakistan as an upper air system. Partly cloudy to cloudy sky will prevail over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Scattered rain and snow is also likely over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. The minimum temperatures are likely to rise by 2°C-3°C over the region. Moderate to shallow fog is expected over northwestern plains. Meanwhile, marginal decrease in dense fog is expected over West Uttar Pradesh. However, cold day conditions will prevail in some pockets close to the foot hills.

Moving to East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Bangladesh and a trough is extending from this system across Arunachal Pradesh. The Western Disturbance is also moving close to Arunachal Pradesh area. In wake of these weather systems, rain and thundershower is expected over Arunachal Pradesh and many parts of Northeast India. In fact, dense fog would also occur at many places over Assam and at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. Meanwhile, North Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will continue to witness very dense fog and cold day conditions.
In Central India, dry weather will continue to prevail. Marginal drop in night temperatures is expected over Northeast Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, clouding would reduce over Gujarat, North Maharashtra and adjoining areas.

Down South, fog which was observed along the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu is likely to abate. Mainly clear sky and comfortable day will prevail over most parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Meanwhile, Kerala and Lakshadweep may witness light rains in some pockets. In fact, rain and thundershower is also expected over Andaman and Nicobar Island in wake of the trough which is extending from southeast Bay of Bengal to Nicobar Islands.
