As the Western Disturbance has moved eastwards, dry weather is likely to prevail over the hilly states namely Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Bright sunshine with few clouds can be expected over the region. Maximum temperatures will rise but minimums will continue to drop further.
Dry and cold winds from north-northwest direction will further reduce minimum temperatures over the northern plains. In spite of sunshine, cold winds will make the weather chilly.
Talking about fog, shallow to moderate fog is likely over eastern parts of the country East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
A trough is seen over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand. In wake of this, rain and thundershowers are expected at few places over both the states.
Meanwhile, southern parts of the country will continue with dry and clear weather with no major change in temperature profile.
The well-marked low pressure area over East Bay of Bengal continues to persist, hence light to moderate rains will continue at few places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
