Talking about the weather conditions across South India, a low pressure is persisting over southwest Bay of Bengal. In wake of this weather system, scattered light to moderate rain is expected over Tamil Nadu including Chennai. In fact, moderate winds from East and Northeast direction are expected to blow over central parts of Tamil Nadu. The minimum temperatures may also rise marginally but the day temperatures would fall by 2° - 3° over Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, weather would remain dry over Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In central India, dry and sunny weather would continue to prevail over entire central India. The nights are expected to remain very cold over East Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan and parts of Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, day would be warm and sunny over Vidarbha, South Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan and comfortable weather is expected to persist over Gujarat and remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Up in North India, weather across the hills would remain dry. However, dry and cold winds from northwest direction will continue to blow over northwest India. It is expected that moderate to dense fog would persist at few places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. While, very dense fog is also possible at isolated pockets over the above mentioned regions. Cold wave conditions are also expected at a few places over South Haryana, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
Moving to East and Northeast India, dense to very dense fog would continue to grip many parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar leading to cold day conditions at many places. Meanwhile, moderate to shallow fog is possible over Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura. Cold wave will also persist at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. Meanwhile, weather would remain dry over entire East and Northeast India.

Talking about the major cities across India, Lucknow would witness very dense fog and Delhi would observe shallow fog. Kolkata and Mumbai is likely to witness clear weather conditions but nights and mornings would remain cool. Meanwhile, Chennai is likely to witness scattered rains.
