Weather Forecast for February 24: Pleasant weather in Delhi, rain in West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand

It’s the time of the year when temperatures are neither too high nor too low in most parts of the country. But the interiors of Peninsular India are witnessing extremely hot weather conditions.

North India will witness clear weather conditions with bright sunny day. No weather system will affect the region till about February 29. During rest of the month Delhi and northern plains will witness clear skies with warm days and cool nights.

The cyclonic circulation over Assam persists. It will bring scattered rain and thundershowers over Arunachal Pradesh and Upper Assam.

A fresh cyclonic circulation can be seen developing over Jharkhand and West Bengal region with the East-West trough is running right up to Madhya Pradesh. With the presence of the anti-cyclone over Bay of Bengal, a confluence zone in being created in this region. Tomorrow, we can expect rainfall in Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Some parts of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh will also receive some rains. Gradually, the rainfall belt will cover more parts.

Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat will witness warm and dry weather conditions for the time being.

We can still see the region of wind discontinuity with a trough extending across Kerala and Karnataka coast. This region could receive some light rainfall throughout the week.

Night temperature in Delhi and northern plains will settle in lower teens. Few places in Panjab in cooler. Maximum in minimum temperatures in Delhi will settle at 28°C and 13°C.

Interiors of Peninsular India are extremely hot at present. Hyderabad will witness sizzling hot weather with maximum at 38°C.
