The Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation affecting Northwest India has moved away from the region in east direction.
As a result, bright and sunny days will make a comeback over both the hills and northwestern plains on Sunday and so does the dry and cold northwesterly winds. In wake this, both maximum and minimum temperatures will register a drop by 2-3 degrees across entire northwest and central India during next 24 hours.
Now with the eastward movement of these weather systems, the cyclonic circulation over Meghalaya will get more marked. Accordingly scattered light to moderate rain is likely over Northeast India.
The anti-cyclone continues to prevail over Odisha. As a result, day temperatures over Odisha, Telangana and Vidarbha region will continue to settle above normal by 2-5 degrees.
Now moving into to the southern parts of the country, the trough in the Arabian Sea has become less marked but chances of isolated light rain cannot be ruled out over southern parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Delhi will record day temperature of 26°C, while morning temperature will settle around 14°C.
Mumbai and Chennai will be hot and humid with day maximum of 33°C and 32°C, respectively.
