Weather Forecast for February 19: Good rain likely over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi

Number of weather systems are seen affecting the weather of the country. Let us start from North India, where a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching the region. The system presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining areas will give isolated rain and snow over the hilly states on Friday.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Punjab and Rajasthan. While another cyclonic is over Gujarat and adjoining South Rajasthan. A trough is seen is connecting these two systems.

All these systems combined together will give light to moderate rain over entire northern plains of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and even parts of West Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, anti-cyclone is now over Chhattisgarh region and due to this, confluence zone is still persisting over Madhya Pradesh. We can also expect some rain activity over North Madhya Pradesh on Friday.

Meanwhile, East India will remain weather free on Friday and so does the northeastern states.

Moving into to the southern parts of the country, the trough continues to persist in Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast. Similarly, cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep region is also retaining its strength.

Accordingly, light rain is expected over southern parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu during next 24 hours.

Minimum temperatures will remain above 10°C across the Northern plains.

On Friday, Delhi will record day temperature of 25°C, while night temperatures will be around 16°C.

Mumbai and Chennai will be hot and humid with day maximum of 32°C. However, Mumbai will have slight relief in night with minimum of 19°C, while Chennai will continue with warm nights at 25°C.
