Weather Forecast for February 16: Snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Rain in Tamil Nadu

Delhiites can expect pleasantly warm weather conditions for the next few days while Tamil Nadu will witness a good spell of rain and thundershowers.

A fresh Western Disturbances is approaching the western Himalayas. By tomorrow, it will bring some rain and snow over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.

The feeble cyclonic circulation over Punjab and Haryana will not give any rain but lead to rise in temperatures over the next 2 days.

We can see a cyclonic circulation over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat. But, no weather activity likely over the region for now. Saurashtra and Kutch will receive light rains on the 19th and 20th of February.

Cooler and drier winds coming from the North and moist winds from the Bay of Bengal will merge and create a confluence zone over here. This will result in scattered light rains in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal and adjoining Indian Ocean is slowly moving westwards. It will shift closer to the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu by tomorrow.

Initially it will bring rains over the coastal areas. The rain belt will gradually shift inland over the interiors of Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Its effect will last till the 19th.

Temperatures will remain above normal levels in the plains of North India. Minimums will also be mostly above normal.

Minimums in Delhi-NCR, Amritsar, Patiala, Hisar, Lucknow and most parts of the plains in Northwest India will settle above 10°C. Maximums will settle between 25 and 30°C.

Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai will record 31°C as maximum.

Hyderabad will be the warmest with maximum at 34°C.
