Weather Forecast for February 14: Low pressure area approaching Tamil Nadu Coast

Most parts of the country including Delhi and NCR will celebrate Valentine’s Day amidst clear and bright weather conditions tomorrow.

The Western Disturbance has moved away eastwards. Now, winds will start blowing from the North direction over the plains of Northwest India.
Therefore, minimums could fall by a couple of notches across North Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh. Temperatures will start rising gradually after 24 hours.

The confluence of winds over East India will bring light rainfall activity over North Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. As the Western Disturbance will travel along the foothills, it could bring rainfall across the foothills of Uttarakhand and over Assam.

Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will remain largely dry.

The low pressure area over South Central Bay of Bengal may bring good showers over the southern islands of Andaman and Nicobar. It will gradually shift closer to the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and bring some rains by the 15th.

Minimums in Delhi-NCR, Amritsar, Patiala, Hisar, Lucknow and most parts of the plains in Northwest India will settle in the range of 8 to 10 degree Celsius. Maximums in Delhi will settle at 26°C, while Lucknow will be warmer at 29.

Interiors of Peninsular India will remain the hottest pocket in the country. Maximum in Hyderabad will settle at 35 degree Celsius.
Due to Southeasterly winds coming from the Bay of Bengal, temperatures are expected to rise over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Vidarbha.
