February is best time to visit Jammu and Kashmir for snow lovers. Frequent Western Disturbances bring good amounts of snowfall during this time of the year.
Here’s a look at the weather report for today. The previous Western Disturbance has moved away. A fresh one will affect the hills tomorrow. But, it’s a mild system and will bring only light rain and snow over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

The induced cyclonic circulation lying over Rajasthan, Haryana and North Madhya Pradesh will not bring any weather activity over the region. It will shift further eastwards and become less marked by tomorrow.

In Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation is becoming less marked. For now, isolated light rainfall will be confined to upper parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Moist winds coming from the sea and dry north westerlies from the Gangetic plains will create a confluence zone over West Bengal and adjoin Odisha region. We can expect some light rainfall over coastal areas of the region.

Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will remain largely dry.

The low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal will shift closer to the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. By the 15th, we can expect some rainfall over the region.

The trough along the West Coast will bring isolated light rainfall, if at all, over Coastal Kerala and Karnataka.

Minimums in Delhi-NCR, Amritsar, Patiala, Hisar, Lucknow and most parts of the plains in Northwest India will settle around 8 degree Celsius. Maximums will settle in mid-twenties.

Interiors of Peninsular India will be the hottest pocket in the country with maximum in Hyderabad settling at 35 degree Celsius.
