The prevailing Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is now clearing away the region. However, the remnants of the system will continue to give rain and snow the hilly states on Friday but with reduced intensity. Another Western Disturbance is seen approaching northern hills and is presently marked over Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan.

While, the induced cyclonic circulation continues to persist over Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab. With this, foothills of Punjab may get some light rain on Friday but other northwestern plains will largely remain unaffected. However, the system will keep influencing the minimum temperatures that are already settling above normal and will increase further marginally during next 24 hours.

Moving on to East India, a trough continues to extend from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal up to South Odisha. Accordingly, isolated rain may occur over Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.

Up in Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation over Assam and neighboring areas will give light to moderate rain and thundershowers over the region on Friday.

Meanwhile, anti-cyclone over Coastal Andhra Pradesh will keep the weather hot over interiors of Peninsular India that includes Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with high day temperatures.

Moving further south, a trough is extending off the Kerala and South coastal Karnataka, giving light rain over both the regions.

While, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a well-marked low during next 24 hours. The system will also start shifting westwards towards South Bay of Bengal.
