Weather Forecast for February 10: North India to witness prolonged spell of rain and snow

The Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region will bring a prolonged spell of rain and snowfall over the hilly states of North India.

The induced cyclonic circulation will affect the plains of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan. The national capital could be spared in terms of rainfall. But, tomorrow we could observe partly cloudy skies over Delhi-NCR.

In view of the prevailing weather systems, the winter chill will reduce and night temperatures will rise over the plains. The effect of the system will remain for next 3 to 4 days.

Northeast India will witness an increasing trend in the ongoing rainfall activities, both in intensity and spread. The wet spell will continue for another 48 hours.

In view of rain and snow in Minimums will rise in the plains of North India.

Night temperature in Delhi will settle at 11°C. Maximums will hover around 25°C.

Guwahati will witness maximum and minimum temperature at 26°C and 14°C respectively.

We can see an anti-cyclone over here. It will keep the weather warm and sunny in western and central parts of the country. The cold and dry winds which generally penetrate up to Central India are getting restricted by the weather systems in North India.

In association with this trough, Kerala and Coastal parts of Karnataka will receive light scattered rainfall.

Otherwise most parts of Peninsular India will remain largely dry.

Minimums in the West Coast will settle in mid-twenties while maximums will be in mid-thirties. The East Coast and interiors will be better off.

Ahmedabad and Mumbai will record day temperatures at 31°C.

Hyderabad will be quite warm with maximum at 34°C.
