Weather Forecast for February 06: Snow in Jammu Kashmir, rain likely over Haryana, Punjab

A fresh Western Disturbance is affecting hills of North India and is presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. While the induced cyclonic circulation is now seen over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana. With this, scattered light to moderate rain and snow is likely over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, with few isolated spell. While, plains of North Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab will see rain and thundershowers by Saturday evening. Delhi might also some passing showers during the late evening. In wake of this, minimum temperatures will rise significantly across entire Northwest India. While maximums will decrease marginally.

These weather systems will also impact the weather over West, Central and East India as they will also record drop in night temperatures. However, anti-cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh, Odisha and adjoining Andhra Pradesh will keep most parts of Central and East India weather free.

Northeast India will also not witness any weather activity in absence of any significant weather system.

Meanwhile, Peninsular India will continue to be hottest pocket of the country with maximum temperatures settling in mid 30s.

Delhi will witness maximum temperature of 23 degrees, while minimum will be around 9 degrees.

Mumbai will be warm at 30 degrees but nights will be comfortable with 16 degrees.

Similarly, Bangalore will also be warm with day temperature of 31 degrees and night temperatures at 17 degrees.
