A Western Disturbance is prevailing over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir as an upper air system. In wake of this, light rain and snow is likely over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, but at few places. Meanwhile, the northwestern plains would witness shallow to moderate fog at some places.

Moving to Central India, the weather would remain dry, with rise in both, maximum and minimum temperatures. Day is expected to be comfortable, while night will be cool.
Coming to East and Northeast India, dense to very dense fog is expected over some parts of North Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and northeastern states such as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Northeast Bangladesh and adjoining Assam. Thus, light showers are possible over Arunachal Pradesh. Shallow to moderate fog may occur over parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. This would be attributed to an anti-cyclone over Jharkhand and adjoining North Odisha.
Moving forward, scattered light to moderate rain may occur over some parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, the weather over rest of Southern peninsula will remain dry.
A cyclonic circulation is seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu Coast. This weather system will move west-northwestwards, leading to increase in clouding over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Moreover, extreme South Coastal Tamil Nadu could record isolated rains.

Now let’s us have a quick look at the weather over major cities of India, Delhi will witness dry weather, with partly cloudy sky. Mumbai and Hyderabad would observe warm weather. While, comfortable weather will persist in Bengaluru. Kolkata is expected to witness dry weather and shallow fog during the morning hours. Lastly, Chennai will witness little warm day, with partly cloudy sky.
