Weather Forecast for Feb 28: Rain and snow in Kashmir; warm weather in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai

Talking about the weather of North India, the current Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards. However, scattered rain and snow are expected over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Another Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan which will start affecting Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh from March 1. Thus, residents may observe a rainy and snowy Holi as well.

Meanwhile, weather of northern plains will remain dry and warm. Day and night temperatures may increase further. The national capital Delhi is expected to remain warm and sunny however few clouds may come up.

Moving to Central India, an anti-cyclone is seen over Southwest Rajasthan thus states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh will observe above normal maximums. Gujarat is expected to continue witnessing very high temperatures. The Gujarati city Ahmedabad is also expected to remain very warm and clear sky. Talking about Mumbai, Mumbaikars will continue to observe a hot day leading to discomfort.

Talking about East and Northeast India, a marginal rise is expected in the day temperatures over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Weather will remain dry over East India. Rains over Northeast India will also take a break however, light rain may continue over parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The city of Joy Kolkata will remain warm and humid with clear sky conditions.

Down South, a trough is extending from Southwest Bay of Bengal to South of Sri Lanka. With this, weather may become cloudy over South Tamil Nadu, but rainfall is not expected. Chennai is also likely to remain warm and humid, thus residents may have to observe uneasy conditions. On the other hand, residents of Bengaluru may enjoy a comfortable night. Meanwhile, Hyderabad will remain warm and sunny.
