Weather Forecast for Feb 27: Rains ahead for West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir

Beginning with East India, where a Cyclonic Circulation is over Assam and adjoining areas. We expect fairly widespread rains to continue over Northeast India. Fairly widespread snowfall is likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Sikkim. Meanwhile, the weather of Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, East Uttar Pradesh and Odisha and will now become dry. However, light rains are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Kolkata will see a hot and dry day.

Coming on to North India, where a fresh Western Disturbance is now seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan. We expect scattered light rains, to commence over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh as well as parts of Himachal Pradesh. Isolated light snowfall may also occur over the upper reaches. Meanwhile, the weather of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi will remain dry. Pollution might peak over Delhi NCR.

Talking about Central India, where the ongoing rain activities over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will now subside. Southeasterly dry winds will blow across South Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat leading to an increase in temperatures. Sunny day ahead for Mumbai.

Lastly South India, where dry weather is forecast for most parts. Humid winds from Bay of Bengal will continue over Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Temperatures of interior Karnataka and Kerala may increase marginally due to southeasterly winds. Dry weather ahead for Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai as well.
