The Western Disturbance over East Jammu and Kashmir has moved away. In wake of this, the rain activity over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will take a backseat. However, isolated rain and thundershowers may continue for next 24 hours.
Most parts of the northwestern plains have been witnessing very hot and uneasy weather conditions since last many days. But as dry and cold northwesterly winds have started blowing over the region, significant fall in temperatures was observed over many parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Marginal drop in temperatures was also seen over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
Further drop in temperatures are expected over entire northwestern plains and adjoining parts of Central India.
Coming to Northeast India, light to moderate rain are expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.
Rest parts of the country will remain mainly dry, with clear sky.
Konkan and Goa including Mumbai and Coastal Karnataka will also witness fall in temperatures.
