Weather Forecast for Feb 21: Snow in Kashmir, Himachal; Rain in Rajasthan, Haryana

The persisting Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards. Meanwhile, a trough is extending up to South Central Pakistan. In wake of the weather system, we expect scattered light to moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir while isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may witness some weather.

Isolated places of North Rajasthan and adjoining South Haryana may receive very light rain. Meanwhile, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh will experience dry and warm weather conditions. The minimum temperatures may also rise over these areas.

Talking about East and Northeast India, a feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over Bangladesh. Due to this weather system, isolated light rain is possible over East Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the weather over remaining northeastern states and entire East India will remain dry and warm.

In Central India, an anti-cyclone is persisting over West Madhya Pradesh. Due to which, dry warm and sunny weather is expected to prevail over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Gujarat. The day temperatures of Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha will be reaching up to mid-30°C making the day very warm.

Down South, a trough is extending from North Arabian Sea to Lakshadweep but it will not have any impact over the adjoining states Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala. In fact, entire Southern Peninsula will observe dry and warm weather conditions.

Talking about the major cities of India, Delhi-NCR is likely to witness partly cloudy sky along with isolated thunderstorm activity. Meanwhile, Mumbai is expected to witness a warm and sunny day. Kolkata is likely to remain warm while Chennai may observe a humid day. Hyderabad is expected to remain warm during the day while a comfortable night is in store for Bengaluru.
