Weather Forecast for Feb 17: Pollution on rise in Delhi, warm day in Mumbai, Bengaluru

Starting with North India, where yesterday’s feeble Western Disturbance is now moving away. This will still manage to bring light rains over Ladakh. Otherwise weather will remain totally dry with mainly clear sky conditions over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Similar dry and warm weather over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Fog might appear in the early morning hours over these places. Meanwhile, air quality in Delhi might deteriorate further.

Coming on to Central India, where a windy, clear and dry day is forecast for Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. A hazy morning is likely over these places. Mumbai will remain dry and warm.

Talking about East and Northeast India, where in the absence of any significant weather system, dry weather is forecast for Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Interestingly, a few northern parts of Odisha like Angul and Keonjhargarh might see Cold Wave like conditions. Meanwhile, a Cyclonic Circulation can be seen over Bangladesh. Due to this, light to moderate will be seen over Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam and Nagaland.

Coming on to South India, where an upper air Trough is persisting. Also, an anti-cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Bay of Bengal. Due to this, warm and moist winds are blowing over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad will see dry and warm weather.
