Weather Forecast for Feb 16: Dry weather in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru

Beginning with North India, a Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is moving away eastwards. However, the system will give scattered rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated weather activity over Uttarakhand cannot be ruled out as well.

Meanwhile, Northwest India will continue to witness dry weather conditions with clear skies. Day temperatures over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh will further increase while no change in minimums is expected. Sunny weather is expected to continue over Delhi with nights remaining cold.

Talking about Central India, an anti-cyclone is seen over Saurashtra and Kutch. Dry northwesterly winds are blowing over most parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Thus, weather of entire Central India will remain dry and warm. Day and night temperatures will witness a marginal rise.

Coming to East and Northeast India, a feeble trough is seen from West Assam to Gangetic West Bengal. However, due to lack of moisture feed from Bay of Bengal weather of entire East and Northeast India will remain dry. However, isolated rains may occur over Arunachal Pradesh. Maximums will witness a rise over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha. Kolkata on the other hand is expected to see a comfortable night and a warm day.

Down South, due to lack of any significant weather system in proximity of the region, entire Southern Peninsular India will remain dry. Day will be warm over Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Bengaluru, and Hyderabad will have a sunny day with cool and comfortable night. Meanwhile, Chennai will remain warm and humid.
