Weather Forecast for Feb 14: Minimums to decrease in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan

Talking about the weather conditions across North India, A Western Disturbance is persisting over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir and it is moving away eastwards. It is anticipated that this weather system will continue to give scattered light rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated over the upper reaches.

Meanwhile, the weather of northern plains will now become dry. The dry and cold northwesterly winds will decrease the minimums over Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. The sky will become clear but the maximum temperatures will rise. In fact, Delhi will also witness a drop in minimums and rise in maximums. Meanwhile, Lucknow will witness comfortable weather.

Moving to East and Northeast India, weather in East India, is expected to become dry now. The day temperatures of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will also start increasing hence the weather during the day will become warm. Talking about the major cities, Patna will observe dry weather with partly cloudy sky conditions and Kolkata will witness a warm and humid day.

Meanwhile, light rain and thunders are expected over upper reaches of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Nagaland. Remaining northeastern states will be dry and warm. The capital city of Assam Guwahati will witness warm weather with partly cloudy sky.

In Central India, the on going rainfall activity of East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will stop and the weather is expected to become dry. With the abatement of rains, the day temperatures of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha will increase by 2°C - 4°C. Meanwhile, the minimums will drop due to the flow of cool northerly winds over the region. Weather in Bhopal will be dry and sunny. Similarly, Mumbai will also witness a warm day but a cool night.

Down South, there is no significant weather system. Therefore, we do not expect any rain activity over South India. The day will be warm and sunny over most places. Talking about the major cities of South India, Bengaluru will witness comfortable weather along with partly cloudy sky conditions. The weather in Hyderabad will be warm and sunny. In fact Chennai will also observe a warm and sunny day.
