The Western Disturbance over East Jammu and Kashmir has moved away. In wake of this, dry and cool weather will persist with partly cloudy sky over the region. Meanwhile, northwestern plains will witness warm days and cool nights with marginal rise in maximum temperatures. Shallow to moderate fog can be observed in some parts.
Both maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to rise over central parts of the country on account of an anti-cyclone over the region.
Due to moisture incursion over East India, minimum temperatures are likely to rise over Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Isolated rain and thundershowers may occur over Jharkhand, adjoining parts of Odisha and West Bengal.
Coming to Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Tripura and adjoining Bangladesh. Due to this, Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining parts may record some spells of rain.
Down South, easterly winds will intensify along the coast of Tamil Nadu. Also cloud cover will increase over the area. With this, light rain is expected over coastal areas including Chennai and soon it will cover the interior parts of the state.
