Weather Forecast for Feb 10: Cold wave like conditions likely over Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan

Beginning with North India, where a mainly clear sky is likely to prevail over the hilly regions of Himachal, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the plains of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan will remain mainly dry. Cold wave like conditions may prevail at one or two places over here. Day will remain pleasant with a mainly clear sky while nights will remain very cold.Delhi air quality will remain in ‘moderate’ to ‘very poor’ category.

Coming on to Central India, where mostly dry weather is likely to prevail over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. Sky conditions will remain partly cloudy over these places. On the other hand, a Trough is passing through Marathwada and Karnataka. This will bring light rains over Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra.

Coming on to East and Northeast India, where a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over eastern parts of Bangladesh. Due to this system, light rains will occur at one or two places over Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, fog might appear in the morning hours over Bihar and adjoining parts of Jharkhand.

Talking about South India, where a Trough is extending from Tamil Nadu to Maharashtra. Light rains are likely at one or two places in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Also, moderate rains are likely in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Also, a feeble Cyclonic Circulation can be marked over Southeast Arabian Sea. Due to this, light rains lie ahead for Southern parts of Kerala.
