Weather Forecast for Feb 1: Dry weather in India, fog in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP

The prevailing Western Disturbance has moved away from Jammu and Kashmir, bringing in much needed relief from incessant rain and snow over the hilly region.

Now, cold and dry northwesterly winds will once again start blowing over entire northwestern plains. With this, dense fog may grip few pockets of plains, while moderate fog will continue to grip parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation is still prevailing over Bangladesh which will strengthen easterly wave, resulting in light rain over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

Rest parts of Northeast and East India will remain dry.

Similarly, both Central and South India will also continue with dry weather conditions in absence of any significant weather system. Though a trough can be seen extending from southeast Arabian Sea up to Konkan coast but its affect will only will only be confined to Lakshadweep Islands which could see some rains.
