Northeast Monsoon remains vigorous over Tamil Nadu and active over rest of Peninsular India.
Cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast continues to persist and has shifted slightly westwards. A trough is also extending from the system northwards up to south coastal Andhra Pradesh.
With this, rain belt has also shifted from North Tamil Nadu to central coastal Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain is expected over central Tamil Nadu on Friday. While, rains will reduce over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai but light to moderate will continue.
Also under the influence of the system, light rain may occur over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka.
Cyclonic circulation has shifted from central India and is presently marked over Northeast India. This will give Light rain over entire region barring parts of Tripura and Manipur.
Parts of central and East India will now go dry once again.
Up in the hills, a feeble western disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. This will give light weather over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir but will not have any impact on the plains.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures will continue to decrease marginally across Northwestern Plains and Central India.
