A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching hills of North India. The system is presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining areas and will start affecting the weather over the region by Tuesday evening. Light to moderate rain and snow is likely over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. While lower reaches will receive light showers only. Isolated showers can also occur over foothills of Punjab. The system will not have much impact on the plains but the change in wind pattern will lead to increase in fog density over northwestern plains.
A cyclonic circulation is over South Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha region. With this, isolated rain is likely over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Scattered light rain is also expected to continue over Odisha and isolated parts of north Coastal Andhra Pradesh on account of confluence of dry and cold winds from North with warm and moist winds from Bay of Bengal.
Northeast Monsoon continues to be subdued over the region but scattered light rain may occur over Kerala and South Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. The cyclonic circulation over Maldives region continues to persist. It will give scattered rain over Lakshadweep Islands.
A cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Meghalaya, which will bring isolated light rain over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The easterly winds blowing over the region are reaching up to East Uttar Pradesh. As a result dense fog is expected over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and North West Bengal tomorrow.
