The depression in Southeast Bay of Bengal has further intensified into a deep depression. The system will continue to move in northwest direction and may intensify into cyclonic storm in another 24 hours.

It will continue to heavy to very heavy rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. A trough is also extending from this system up to Tamil Nadu, which will give scattered showers over the coastal areas including Chennai.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen in Southeast Arabian Sea and trough is running from this system along the West Coast. This would give some rain over Kerala and few parts of Coastal Karnataka.

Weather will remain dry over rest of South India.

Meanwhile up in the country, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen approaching Jammu and Kashmir. As a result, minimum temperatures will increase marginally over Northwest India.

However, moderate to dense fog will persist over several parts of the northern plains including Delhi-NCR.

Another circulation is seen over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, which continue to infuse moisture over the region, leading to dense to very dense fog over both the states, while moderate to dense fog would be seen over parts of Jharkhand, West Bengal and Northeastern states.

Meanwhile, clear sky and continuous flow of dry and cold northwesterly winds will keep the weather warm over Rajasthan, Gujarat and Coastal Maharashtra.
