To begin with South India, a cyclonic circulation lies over Sri Lanka and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal. A trough is extending from this system off Tamil Nadu Coast up to South coastal Andhra Pradesh. In wake all these weather systems, scattered light to moderate rains are expected over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Coastal Karnataka. Along with this, light rains are likely over rest of Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Interior parts of Maharashtra.
Moving to Central India, due to the anti-cyclonic winds, dry weather will prevail over most parts of Central India. Marginal change in both day and night temperatures is likely over all these states.
In North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching and at present lies over Afghanistan region. This system is likely to effect Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours, where in rain and snow will occur over the higher reaches of J&K. Meanwhile, the plains of Northwest India will experience dry weather conditions along with Delhi pollution remaining in very poor to severe category.

Lastly in east/northeast India, due to the cyclonic circulation over Assam and Meghalaya region, we expect light rains over few places of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Rest all parts of East and Northeast India will remain dry.
