The well-marked low pressure area in Bay has further intensified and is now seen as a depression in southeast and east central Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move in northwest direction and further intensify into a deep depression in another 24 hours.
With this, heavy to very heavy rains will continue over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Though the system is far away from the Indian mainland but it has changed the wind pattern over the region and we can expect scattered rains over Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Kerala and South Karnataka on Wednesday.
Weather will remain dry over rest of South India.
Meanwhile up in the country, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will continue to witness dense to very dense fog. The intensity of fog will increase and dense fog also grip the parts of Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana and North Madhya Pradesh.
As a result, maximum temperatures over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will continue to settle below normal, while mercury will also drop over the northern plains including Delhi-NCR leading to onset of the winters over North India.
Meanwhile, clear sky and continuous flow of dry and cold northwesterly winds will keep the weather warm over Rajasthan, Gujarat and Coastal Maharashtra.
Up in Northeast India, the region will also continue with mainly dry weather with shallow fog and mist.
