A low pressure area has formed over South Andaman Sea. This system is likely to intensify into a depression and subsequently into a deep depression. In wake of this, moderate to heavy rains are expected at many places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Lakshadweep Islands and fueling this system, are the moderate winds from Bay of Bengal which are rich in moisture. This system is likely to give scattered light to moderate rains over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep Islands.
Meanwhile, central parts of the country will continue to remain dry. Nights will be cool and days will be warm and sunny. Marginal drop in temperatures are expected over the Northwest and adjoining Central India.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur over Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh, while moderate to dense fog is expected over East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar and northeastern states.
The Western Disturbance is presently seen over North Pakistan. This system is moving in a northeast direction. Due to this system over Western Himalayas, no significant weather activity can be expected.
