In Southern India, the very severe cyclonic storm Ockhi is presently over southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea. Now, its impact has reduced significantly over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.
During the next 2 hours, Lakshadweep would record moderate rains, Kerala may witness light rain with moderate showers at isolated places and Tamil Nadu will see light rains at scattered places. The well-marked low pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea will intensify into a depression and move in west-northwest direction.

The system will not have much influence over Tamil Nadu for at least the next two days. So, talking about the major cities of Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru, the weather is likely to be dry over these areas amid the following 24 hours.
Let’s move on to Central India, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will have partly cloudy to cloudy sky, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on the other hand would have a sunny day with isolated patches of clouds. Day temperatures are likely to drop over Gujarat and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. East and Northeast India, dry weather will continue with shallow to moderate fog over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Meghalaya and Tripura.
Lastly North and Northwest India, a Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. So, isolated light rain is possible over Jammu and Kashmir with light snow activity at isolated places over higher reaches.
Live status of Lightning and thunder
The weather will remain dry with partly cloudy sky over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Shallow fog is likely in parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Delhi Pollution may worsen further in the next two to three days in wake of southeasterly winds. Day temperatures are expected to fall marginally with partly cloudy sky persisting over Delhi and North Rajasthan.
