Cyclone Nada has finally moved away from South India and is now over Lakshadweep region. Remnants of the system will give scattered rains over Kerala and Lakshadweep Islands, while isolated light rain are likely over Tamil Nadu including Chennai and South Karnataka including Bangalore.
Now this system, is now followed by another fresh system in Bay of Bengal. At present, the system is seen as a low pressure area in South Andaman Sea and is likely to further intensify into a depression in another 24 to 48 hours. It will also give heavy rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Up in North India, a fresh Western Disturbance as an upper air is approaching Jammu and Kashmir and is presently seen over Afghanistan and adjoining North Pakistan. In wake of this, come clouding could be seen over the hilly states of the region. Meanwhile, cold and dry northwesterly winds will drop the minimum temperatures further over the northwestern plains including Delhi-NCR.
Intensity of fog will also reduce over region but shallow to moderate fog will persist over parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is seen over East Uttar Pradesh, bringing warm and humid winds which would lead to dense fog over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Further in Northeast India, dry weather conditions will prevail over the region with shallow to moderate fog.
