Weather Forecast for Dec 30: Rain in Kashmir, Andaman, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru to remain dry

A fresh Western Disturbance has approached Jammu and Kashmir, due to this weather system, we do not expect much weather activity but isolated rain and snow may occur over upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and northwestern plains would witness dry weather. Dense fog will also be observed at a few places over Punjab, Haryana and West Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Delhi will have smoke, haze or shallow fog.

Moving to East India, a feeble cyclonic circulation is over East Uttar Pradesh and another circulation is over Mizoram. In wake of this dense to very dense fog is likely over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and many parts of West Bengal. Mizoram, Tripura and parts of Meghalaya will also have very dense fog.

In central India, dry weather is prevailing. It is anticipated that morning will be very cold in parts of Vidarbha, Southeast Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, the weather during the day will remain warm across Gujarat, North Maharashtra and South Madhya Pradesh.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka. A trough is also extending up to southeast Bay of Bengal where a low-pressure area is persisting. In wake of this weather system, light to moderate rain would occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and very light rain is likely over coastal Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, weather across Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad will remain dry.
