Weather Forecast for Dec 30: Fog in Delhi, Punjab, UP, Bihar, Snow in Kashmir

December 29, 2016 6:20 PM |

The Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir but being feeble in nature, it will only bring isolated rain and snow over the higher reaches of the state.

Now a trough can be seen running from Haryana up to West Bengal across Indo-Gangetic plains. Due to this, moisture levels have increased significantly and wind speed is also very light. Hence, dense to very dense fog will continue over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.

Intensity of fog will also increase over northern plains and moderate to dense fog may occur over Delhi-NCR, parts of Haryana, Punjab, North Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Minimum temperatures are also likely to increase across the plains by 1-2 degrees on Friday.

Meanwhile, Central India will continue with dry and clear weather conditions but with humid winds reaching up to the region, minimum temperatures may increase marginally.

Down south, isolated light rain will continue over South Tamil Nadu coast on Friday on account of the trough persisting in Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Sri Lanka. Rest parts of South India will remain mainly dry.

A fresh trough is also seen developing South Andaman Sea, which may give scattered light to moderate rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Friday.
