Weather Forecast for Dec 29: Moderate to dense fog UP, Punjab, Haryana Bihar, West Bengal, Northeast

The prevailing Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir has moved away therefore we expect dry weather conditions to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, the sky conditions may become partly cloudy over these states. Moderate to dense fog is expected at a few places over Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, mist and haze will be observed over Delhi and North Rajasthan. The maximum temperatures may fall marginally over the plains.

Moving to East and Northeast India, dense to very dense fog is expected to persist over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya. Weather will remain dry across these regions. It is anticipated that the minimum temperatures may fall marginally over Odisha.

Talking about Central India, weather will remain dry along with clear sky over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures are expected to fall marginally over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Down South a low-pressure area is persisting over southeast Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending from southeast Arabian Sea to Maharashtra coast. In wake of this weather system, light rain is expected at a few places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, weather will remain dry over entire southern peninsula. In fact no major changes will be there in minimum and maximum temperatures.
