The trough of low is persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal that will give light to moderate rains over South Tamil Nadu, while northern parts including Chennai may see some isolated spells. Scattered rains are also expected over South Kerala. In wake of this, night temperatures may rise marginally while maximums are expected to fall by 1-2 degrees over Tamil Nadu.
Moving into central parts of the country, the region will continue with below normal night temperatures, particularly over Rayalaseema, Maharashtra and North Interior Karnataka.
Up in Northeast India, isolated rains may occur over Arunachal Pradesh, East Assam and Nagaland.
Meanwhile in North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. With this, light rain and snow is expected over higher reaches of the state.
Moderate northwesterly winds will continue to blow over northern plains which will keep the weather clear over the region. With this, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi may experience shallow to moderate fog, while dense to very dense fog will continue over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
