A trough of low is over Southwest Bay of Bengal. This will give scattered light to moderate rains at many places over Tamil Nadu and South Kerala. Chennai is also expected to receive one or two spells of rain. Day temperatures may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over Tamil Nadu.
Weather over rest parts of South Peninsula will remain dry.
Cold and dry north-northeasterly winds will continue to blow over central parts of the country. Due to this, night temperatures are expected to settle below normal.
Moving to Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Mizoram and adjoining areas. In wake of this, scattered rains may occur over the region including sub-Himalayan west Bengal and Sikkim.
Now talking about fog, moderate to dense fog will continue over many parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and at a few places over Punjab and Haryana.
As the Western Disturbance has moved away, the weather over the hills and plains of North India will again go dry.
