To begin with North India, due to the feeble Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir, scattered light rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and upper reaches of Uttarakhand. Light snowfall may also occur over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Weather of northwest plains will remain dry. Moderate to dense fog is also expected over few places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Pollution levels of Delhi will remain in very poor category.
Moving to Central India, a trough is extending from Northeast Madhya Pradesh to South India. Cold winds from north/northwest will continue over most parts of Central India. Therefore, temperatures of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh may drop marginally. Tempe of Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will remain unchanged. Cold wave conditions may repaper in parts of West Rajasthan and East Madhya Pradesh.
Down South, due to the trough running across to Karnataka, light rains may occur over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and South Tamil Nadu. Weather over rest of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh is expected to remain mainly dry.

Lastly in East/Northeast India, dry weather will prevail over entire East India with chances of moderate to shallow fog over Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation is also seen over Assam and adjoining Meghalaya, but we do not expect any weather activity over the northeastern states, except shallow fog and mist.
