Weather Forecast for Dec 26: Fog in Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Minimums to dip in Gujarat, Rajasthan

Beginning with North and Northwest India, a Western Disturbance can be seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. With this, isolated rain and snow is expected over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. The weather over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain dry.

Meanwhile, moderate fog is likely over parts of Punjab, Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Delhi is also expected to witness shallow foggy morning. Else, dry weather will continue across the plains.

Coming to Central India, dry northerly-northwesterly winds will prevail over the region. So, the weather will stay dry with bright sunshine. An anti-cyclone is seen over West Rajasthan; as a result night temperatures over Gujarat and Rajasthan are expected to drop marginally.

Moving to East and Northeast India, a trough is extending from Mizoram up to Bay of Bengal. With this, isolated light rain is possible over Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. The weather over rest northeastern states is anticipated to remain dry. East India will also continue to be dry, with dense to very dense fog likely over East Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow.

Lastly in South India, there is a cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea which is expected to intensify into a low pressure area in the next 24 hours. Else, only isolated light rain is expected over South Tamil Nadu, rest of South India will remain dry.
