To begin with South India, a trough of low is extending from Indian Ocean to North Tamil Nadu. This system would result in light to moderate rain over most parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Karnataka and South Andhra Pradesh. Some light rains are also possible over Chennai.
However, weather will remain dry over North Karnataka and Telangana.
In East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is lying over East Bangladesh and adjoining Meghalaya. A trough is also extending up till North Bay of Bengal. Thus, isolated parts of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya may receive light rains. Moderate to dense fog may also appear over many parts.
On the other hand, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may receive light rain and snow.
In Central India, minimums may rise in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Isolated pockets of North and East Madhya Pradesh may continue with cold wave conditions. However, this condition would abate completely from West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region.

Up in North, a Western Disturbance as an upper air system is approaching from North Pakistan. In wake of this, minimums would rise and partly cloudy sky is expected during next 24 hours over Jammu and Kashmir. The plains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will continue with cold wave condition with chances of ground frost.
An induced Cyclonic Circulation has also developed over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. A trough is extending from this system up to western parts of Rajasthan. Thus, minimums would rise over Rajasthan which may lead to abatement of cold wave conditions. Likewise, minimums would also rise over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
