The low pressure area over south-central Bay of Bengal is likely to move in west direction and will affect Tamil Nadu coast by the night of December 19.
With this, we can expect good rains along the Tamil Nadu coast by December 20. Chennai will also receive light to moderate showers on December 19. The weather over rest of south peninsula will remain dry.
Dry and cold northwesterly winds will continue to blow over northwest and central parts of the country. We expect marginal drop in minimum temperatures.
Fog intensity has reduced over Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. We expect the intensity of fog to reduce further, however isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar may receive dense fog.
Eastern parts of the country will witness dry weather conditions with shallow to moderate fog at few places.
