The remnants of the cyclone Phethai as a feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over extreme Northeast India. This system will give scattered light rains over many parts of Northeast and post 24 hours, the weather will clear up.
Shallow to moderate fog will be seen at scattered places of East and Northeast India. Dry weather conditions will continue to prevail. Odisha will also see dry weather.
Up North, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. This system will largely affect the upper reaches only and clouding can be seen over the same. The northwest plains of the country including capital territory, Delhi will witness dry weather conditions.
The only significant thing which is happening for now is that the minimums have taken a dip over the hills and plains and a dip of a degree or two is expected in coming days over the plains.
Coming to Central India, there is no significant weather activity to be seen. Dry weather conditions will continue to prevail over region. The minimums are running below normal wherein night temperatures in Madhya Pradesh have come down to single digit. Whereas, in Gujarat, days are warm with cool nights and early morning.

Down South, a fresh cyclonic circulation is over South-Central Bay adjacent to Indian Ocean. This system is expected to give rains around December 20 and will continue thereafter. Feeble troughs are seen running along the coastline of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Thus, very light rains can be seen over few places of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Whereas, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will witness widespread rain and thundershowers.
