The low pressure area persists over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea and is likely to move in west-northwest direction. With this, moderate rains will continue over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. However, the system is presently far away from affecting the weather over the Indian mainland.
Meanwhile, the low pressure area in Arabian Sea has intensified into a depression but it has moved far away from the Indian coast to affect the weather. However, isolated rains over Lakshadweep Islands and Kerala cannot be ruled out.
The anti-cyclonic circulation over Northwest Maharashtra will keep the weather clear and dry over Central India, which will lead to marginal drop in minimum temperatures.
Up in North India, a fresh western disturbance is approaching the hilly region and is marked over Afghanistan and North Pakistan. With this, weather will become cloudy over Jammu and Kashmir and minimum temperature may rise marginally. Meanwhile, no major change is expected in the temperature profile across Northwest plains.
Moderate to dense fog will continue over scattered areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
