Weather Forecast for Dec 15: Delhi Pollution to continue; fog in Punjab, Haryana, West UP

The Western Disturbance which had been giving rain and snow over hills of North India has moved away. A fresh Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.
However, rain and snow will remain confined to the higher reaches of the hills.

The induced cyclonic circulation is also moving away eastwards. With this, winter will tighten its grip over North Indian hills and plains. Cold wave conditions are expected over the hilly regions. Moreover, minimums will witness a significant drop over the plains and many areas of Punjab, Delhi, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh may see single digit minimums. Delhi Pollution will continue. Not only this, dense fog may also appear in some parts of the plains.

Coming to Central India, an anti cyclone persists over the region which is why weather will remain dry and comfortable throughout Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Moving to East and Northeast India, weather will remain dry over the entire region. However, fog may occur over some parts of East as well as Northeast India including East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and parts of Jharkhand.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Coming to South India, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over Sri Lanka and adjoining areas. With this, some rains are expected over Tamil Nadu and a few areas of Kerala. Other parts of Peninsular India will remain dry.
