Weather Forecast for Dec 12: Delhi Pollution to improve, Rain and snow in Kashmir, Himachal

Beginning with North and Northwest India, an active Western Disturbance can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir. With this, fairly widespread rain is likely over mid and lower regions of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh. The higher reaches of both the states would witness snowfall at scattered places. Scattered light rainfall is also expected over Uttarakhand.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana. Therefore, fairly widespread rains will occur over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Hailstorm is also expected over scattered places. Not only this, drop in day maximums, while rise in night temperatures are also likely over these areas.

Talking about Delhi Pollution, conditions will improve significantly as rains will begin over the city.

Coming to Central India, the northern parts of Madhya Pradesh will witness some rains in the wake of the system over Rajasthan, elsewhere dry and comfortable weather will continue.

Talking about East and Northeast India, due to the weakening of the low pressure area into a weak cyclonic circulation, rains will reduce over northeastern states. Moderate fog can be seen at scattered places during morning hours.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Dry and comfortable weather will continue over the eastern states, barring West Uttar Pradesh. Shallow fog is also possible during the morning hours over the region.

Lastly South India, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over Comorin region. Thus, scattered light rains may occur over Kerala and South Tamil Nadu. Rest of the region will witness dry weather conditions. Shallow fog may be seen over Konkan and Goa during morning hours.
