The Cyclone Vardah further has further intensified into severe cyclonic storm and is presently moving in northwest direction. After the next 24 hours, it will start tracking west-northwestwards towards the Andhra Pradesh coast.
With this, rains will reduce over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and light rains will commence over Andhra Pradesh coast. Parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala could also see isolated showers.
Meanwhile up in the country, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. It’s as also induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan and Punjab.
As a result, we can expect light to moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. While isolated showers are likely over North Punjab.
The ongoing dense fog over entire northern and eastern plains will also decrease marginally on Saturday.
Meanwhile, cool winds and clear sky from North have dropped the day maximums significantly over East Madhya Pradesh, leading to cold wave conditions. No relief likely for the next two days.
