Weather Forecast for August 25: Rain in Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, MP, Chhattisgarh

Beginning with North, the cyclonic circulation over East Jammu & Kashmir would cause scattered rain over the state, whereas moderate to heavy showers with isolated very heavy falls may occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Possibility of mudslides and landslides cannot be ruled out in some parts.

Meanwhile, scattered light to moderate rainfall can be expected in pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. There is possibility of good rain over West Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow.

Moving on, the axis of Monsoon trough is running via Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Thus, moderate rains with isolated heavy spells are likely over Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Light to moderate spells in Bihar and northeastern states cannot be ruled out.

Talking about Center of India, heavy to very heavy rains would lash Northeast Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh, whereas scattered light to moderate showers are possible over remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh with Konkan & Goa including Mumbai and South Gujarat. Light rain is likely in pockets at Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Furthermore, light to moderate rain may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana and Coastal Karnataka on account of an off shore trough extending from South Andhra Coast to Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, rainfall will remain light over rest of Southern Peninsula including Kerala.
