Beginning with north, we do not expect any respite from the ongoing moderate to heavy rains for the next 24 hours Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In fact, few places might see very heavy falls as well. All thanks to the Monsoon trough running along the foothills of Himalayas.

In plains, foothills of Uttar Pradesh too stand a chance of more heavy rains, whereas, scattered light to moderate rain would be seen in Jammu & Kashmir, North Punjab, parts of Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.

Moving in East & Northeast India, a fresh low pressure has developed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha. With this, moderate to heavy rain with isolated very heavy spells will return to North Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh now.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells is possible over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.

In wake of this low pressure, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and parts of Vidarbha would also record light to moderate rain with few heavy spells. Meanwhile, Konkan & Goa including Mumbai and adjoining Madhya Maharashtra would see normal monsoon rains. Light rain is also likely in South Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh.
