Weather Forecast for August 10: Rain in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala

Beginning with North, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining Himachal Pradesh, due to which light to moderate rain is possible over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Punjab and parts of Haryana. Meanwhile, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh may have isolated rain.

Moving on to Center of India, the axis of Monsoon trough has slightly shifted its position towards north and the low pressure are over the region has become less marked. However, remnants of the system would give light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile, Vidarbha and Konkan & Goa may have scattered rains. Light rain is also likely in parts of Gujarat region and Madhya Maharashtra.

Further down south, we do not expect any relief in ongoing Kerala rains as moderate to heavy rainfall will continue over Kerala. Vigorous Monsoon had been giving heavy to extremely heavy rains triggering landslides and flash floods over some areas.

In wake of this, around 22 dams have been opened in the state, out of which Idukki dam reopened after 26 years.

Meanwhile, Coastal Karnataka, parts of Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh may have light to moderate rainfall.

Light rain in parts of Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu also cannot be ruled out.

At last In East and North India, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Jharkhand and adjoining areas which would cause scattered light to moderate rain over Jharkhand, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

Light rain is also likely in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, parts of Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal.
