The axis of Monsoon trough is running from Punjab so, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells are likely over Uttarakhand and parts of Himachal Pradesh. Whereas, scattered showers can be observed over Jammu and Kashmir, West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated rain is likely over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.

Moreover, the low pressure area over Central Uttar Pradesh would give moderate to heavy rain over central and eastern parts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Sultanpur. Flood situation will remain grim over Moradabad and adjoining areas.
Likewise, light to moderate rain may occur over Bihar, parts of Jharkhand and Odisha. At this juncture, cities like Darbhanga, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhubaneswar would witness rain.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells can be expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

In central parts of the country, light to moderate rain is likely over Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, parts of Vidarbha and Konkan and Goa. Whereas isolated rain over West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat cannot be ruled out. Rains over Mumbai would remain light.
Finally, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is likely over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala, along with isolated activities over Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
