Weather Forecast for Aug 8: Good Monsoon rains in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, UP

The Western Disturbance is lying as an upper air system over Jammu and Kashmir. This could bring widespread rainfall over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated heavy showers cannot be ruled as well.

North Punjab, Chandigarh and adjoining plains may receive scattered good rains. Delhi will receive isolated rainfall activity for tomorrow.

The weather system over East Rajasthan is likely to merge with the cyclonic circulation over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. The axis of the Monsoon trough is likely to move across Anoopgarh, the circulation, Datia, Varanasi, Dhumka, Digha, and finally towards east-central Bay of Bengal.

Rainfall will increase over Rajasthan, North Gujarat and West Uttar Pradesh. Moderate to heavy showers are likely over Madhya Pradesh. Active Monsoon conditions will be seen over Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha.

The off shore is extending from South Gujarat to Konkan coast. Scattered moderate rains are likely along the West Coast.

Southwest Monsoon will remain subdued over Kerala, interiors of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Rainfall will increase over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India after 24 to 48 hours, as the Monsoon trough shifts towards the foothills of the Himalayas.
